Painter. Adachi studied at the University of Fine Arts in Kyoto from 1966 to 1970 and then began an exhibition tour which ran from 1972 to 1976 called the Red Buddha Theater, taking him around the world, in particular to London, Rome, Madrid, Bonn, Zurich, Paris, Vienna, Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York.
This diptych, Stone, Lights shows exemplary subtlety and finesse, reflecting the irresistible Japanese Zen gardens and their apparent simplicity. The natural sources (stone, sand, lighting) are carefully put into place, creating a space for meditation and inner peace.
