Vivan Sundaram studied painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Baroda, India and at the Slade School, London. In 1966 he held his first solo exhibition in New Delhi and has had numerous solo exhibitions in New Delhi, Baroda, Bombay, Calcutta, Bangalore, Madras, London, Montreal, Winnipeg and Vancouver.
