Artist born in 1952 in Lugarno, Switzerland. Lives in Paris.
The basis of Varini's work is architecture, although his work evolves and adapts to the space, history and function of each place.
First he defines a point, generally around eye level, that is the starting point for viewing the work. From that point, the painted form unfolds coherently, and the movement of the viewer creates a multitude of viewpoints, allowing the new figures to form and reform.
The best way to appreciate the work is to walk around it and see all the view points it creates.
