This series entitled The World Examination was the Cameroonian artist’s first attempt at lithography. Sinuous, hypnotic lines simultaneously reveal a zoomorphic universe and a celebration of life in all its forms. In these vibrantly coloured metamorphoses, hybrid creatures are seen in the process of turning into reptiles or trees. They bear witness to the telluric force that characterizes all Barthélémy Toguo’s work.
