Acrylic and polyurethane on canvas
Mario Picardo doesn’t just reproduce what
he saw and consigned in his notebooks, from simple packaging to lost objects.
In his studio's private, closed space, he invests all his energy in expressing
the external signs of the city. They appear and mix in collages and large
canvases such as Noisy Garden 8.
In his work, flashy colours cohabit with
black elements on covered surfaces, stretched on frames, paper, or other media.
There manifests Picardo’s intention to elevate craftsmanship to the level of
art.
