Pastel is a delicate medium that is difficult to master. Peter Reuter’s use of pastel enhances the medium by producing fresh and natural tones. His drawing is an age-old technique used to preserve the trace of an emotion or to depict the curve of a branch.

He uses a palette of formal, very simple signs that bring to mind cave paintings.
