The diptych We could be Friends
shows a game where the body is multiplied to play with itself. By accumulating
deformations and mirror effects both real and illusionary, it blends
abstraction and figuration, neutral and sharp colours, tangible and mental
spaces, thus offering a playful take on the body and how it interacts with the
world and reality. The two pictures composing the diptych immortalise a moment
where the world seems frozen and suggest the necessity to rethink motion,
delimitations, and interactions to open oneself to the other – whether this
other is real or imaginary.
